Key mindset shifts to create successful outcomes in your business.
1) I am being paid for the results that I achieve, not for the amount of work that I do. When you realise that you no longer get paid for the work that you do, and focus more on producing tangible results for the customer, then you will get paid according to the value those results bring to other people’s lives.
In the information age that our society has now entered, it is no longer acceptable (if you want wealth and abundance) to simply turn in some work and hold out your hand and expect to be paid. If what you do is valuable in the eyes of your customer, then you will be paid accordingly.
2) When marketing your product, focus on selling the results! Whether it is a weight loss product or an information product on how to build a chicken coop in the back yard your job is not to sell the product itself, but to “sell the results” that it will bring. People don’t buy your ebook or your weight loss products they buy the results they will receive from using it.
As an example “I’m not buying your ebook on weight loss, I’m buying your ebook on how to lose 10 pounds!” In all of your marketing you must always be thinking “what are the benefits to the customer?” Sell results and benefits that resonate with your customers needs.
3) If you are new to marketing or online business, then simply focus on ‘getting it’ to begin with and not on trying to ‘hit a home run.’ Invest at least one hour a day into studying and learning more about marketing, mindset and making money and on understanding the needs of your customer, and everything that you do will flow a lot easier and resonate with more people at a deeper level.
Have the mindset that you will ‘Eliminate failure’ by learning from it. When you strive to achieve anything in life inevitably you will stumble, stub your toes and sometimes fail miserably. These are fantastic learning experiences that are IMMENSLY valuable. In fact they are so valuable that you would have to pay BIG BUCKs to buy someone’s ebook or training course on how to avoid that mistake. HINT HINT!! The key is “The more you invest in your learning, the better of you are going to be.”
4) Become a marketer not an expert. Experts always seem to have a lot of knowledge about their particular topic but no money! Have you noticed that? Take a look at college professors and the like. They studied their subjects their whole lives but didn’t learn how to get what they know into the hands of the ‘masses.’ On the other hand, a professional marketer who is ‘compassionate’ towards his customers, and understands their needs and desires, makes LOADS of money and friends!
So you don’t need to become the expert in your field, you need to find the EMOTIONAL TRIGGERS that drive your customers buying habits and demonstrate the RESULTS they will receive from your products.
Getting clear about your outcome is one of the most important tasks to being successful. So RIGHT NOW, take a piece of paper and in ONE sentence write down what it is you are trying to learn by being here today. As an example I would write, “ To learn how to become an AWESOME marketer by creating valuable information products that people enjoy!”
