Last week I was banned from Facebook for 3 days, basically I had my account disabled all of a sudden, and I felt a strong sense of loss and feelings of abandonment.
Hahaha! Funny but true!
I mean I have 1400 friends and 10 months of time and energy invested into Facebook and when I got shut out like an unwanted puppy dog, it highlighted the fact that I do not OWN my social media accounts and I can LOSE them any time these big social media sites decide! (I had a similar experience when I lost my Youtube accounts a few weeks back)
Luckily I knew what I was doing wrong and when I contacted the Facebook team and I explained to them “that it was easier to copy and paste my welcome messages than to write individual messages for the 50 friends I had waiting!” (Facebook considers that spam!)
They accepted that excuse and enabled my account and of I went on my merry way chatting with my friends again! (Forget trying that with youtube!)
It felt like when I did something wrong as a kid and I was released back into the playground from the head masters office and all my friends wanted to know what happened! I was pushing the limits of the rules once again and I am sure you can relate to that!
Anyhow, after Face book chucked me out of “MY OWN ACCOUNT” I felt grateful that I was learning and working my business based on sound marketing principles!

The simple fact is, if you are not working towards that specific goal I just mentioned then in my opinion you are wasting your online marketing time and what you have is a hobby and not a true long term business strategy.
The Formula is simple!
Use the social media sites like face book, twitter and you tube to generate traffic to your blog and get the visitors so absorbed in your valuable content that they want to return again and bring their friends!
And do it in a way that does not require you to forever be relying on these sites to support you in your endeavours.
If you will stick to this formula and long term business strategy then I believe that it is now possible for you to truly make income online simply by blogging about what they know and love!
And you never have to worry about getting banned from Facebook and having your account disabled because it will not stop your business from moving forward.

Hello Chris, just found this post, and I love it. Using social media to multiply traffic to your blog is the only way that makes sense from a business stand point. You always want to own your list. Plus, people who take the trouble to opt in to your list are likely to be much better buyers. Do you have any conversion figures for offers that are located on your page?
